Girona's second league defeat in three matches see the gap between them and leaders Real Madrid extend to a massive ten points with nine matches remaining. Carlo Ancelotti's side saw out a 4-2 victory over mid-table Osasuna earlier on Saturday, but were dealt a blow with Vinicius Junior sidelined until next month.
