Mullin suffered a punctured lung during Wrexham’s last trip across the Atlantic in 2023, with a nasty collision with Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop forcing him to miss the start of another promotion-winning campaign.
WHAT MULLIN SAID
He will be unavailable to Phil Parkinson when Wrexham face Bournemouth, Chelsea and the Vancouver Whitecaps, with the 29-year-old posting on social media as he continues to work on rebuilding his fitness: “Gutted to be missing the tour. But I couldn’t go any longer. Op is all done getting right for the coming season is now the focus! BRB – thanks for the messages.”
WHAT NEXT?
Mullin passed the 100-goal mark for Wrexham last season, as he helped to deliver back-to-back promotions for Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. His focus is now locked on making a 2024-25 League One opener against Wycombe on August 10.
