The defending champions suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in the first leg of the quarter-final at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. A second-half brace from Declan Rice and a goal from Mikel Merino handed the Gunners a huge advantage in the knockout tie.

Bellingham was at fault for the second goal as his rough challenge on Thomas Partey just outside the box gifted the opponent a free kick, from which Rice scored with a world-class strike. The English midfielder's overall performance, however, was lauded as he made two key passes in the second half.
