The American took in 50 appearances for Milan – the most that he has ever managed in a single season – and has been quick to thank Pioli for believing in him and providing a clean professional slate after bidding farewell to Chelsea. Pulisic has said on social media: “Thank you for everything Mister. You and your staff helped me find the joy in this beautiful game again and for that I’m most grateful. Wishing you nothing but the best always! And thank you fans for the support this year. Here’s to bigger and better things next year.”

Pulisic is under contract in Milan through to 2027, with there already talk of an extension being put in place. He is expected to be back for more next season, with the 25-year-old forward ready to prove himself all over again to an incoming boss.
